Jefferson County 4-H Offers Robotics Day Camp June 17-21

Jefferson County 4-H is hosting three different robotics day camps June 17-21. The day camps are being held at the Jefferson County Extension Office, which is at 4618 Broadway in Mt. Vernon. Advance registration is required for youth to attend, but previous 4-H membership is not needed. The week long day camp series will conclude with a Robotics Competition on Saturday June 22.

The beginner session is being held from 8 to 11 a.m. each day. It is suggested for youth who are in grades 4-5, and don’t have previous robotics experience. An intermediate session is from Noon to 3 p.m. each day and suggested for youth who have participated in the beginner session in the past, or are in grades 6-7. The advanced session is open to youth in the 8th grade and older, or youth in 6th and 7th grade who have robotics experience. Registration is available online at through June 7. The cost is $20 per child, and can be paid online or at the Jefferson County Extension Office.
