Greater Centralia Chamber Of Commerce Image Committee
The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce has officially taken the ownership of the Image Committee.
After the city council meeting on Monday, June 25, the City of Centralia unanimously voted to dissolve the image committee and begin the process of transferring it back to the Chamber of Commerce.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to continue to improve our community and we want to acknowledge and thank the City of Centralia for all of the work they have completed in improving Centralia with the demolition of vacant buildings, improvement of infrastructure, and continued maintenance of buildings,” says Marcus Holland, executive director of the chamber of commerce.
The Image Committee has been meeting under new direction of Damon Harbison, president of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Damon will continue to be the chair of the Image Committee with the chamber of commerce.
“We have a really great group of community leaders and business professionals who are currently represented on the Image Committee. The next steps are to develop a leadership team for the committee with the help of the chamber board of directors. Then that leadership team will help decide the list of projects we would like to tackle in the upcoming months and years,” says Holland.
An action retreat was held in June following a curriculum provided by the Roger Brooks International branding strategies. When completed, this action plan will guide the Image Committee for the next several years.
