Girl Scouts complete service project

MT. VERNON – Summersville Girl Scout Troops participated in this year’s Take Action Council Community Service Project titled Birthday Blast.
Girls from Daisy Troop 8868, Brownies Troop 8626, Juniors Troop 8647 and Cadettes Troop 8646 put together birthday bags that included cake, icing, balloons, candles, plates, napkins and a small gift. The 24 birthday bags were donated for distribution by Park Avenue Baptist Church Food Pantry.
