The City of Centralia’s Cemetery and Parks Preservation Commission and the Centralia Cultural Society presented Elmwood Speaks, a historic tour of Elmwood Cemetery directed by Karen Crouse. The event ran Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17.

It was the seventh year of the tour with it selling completely out. Actors portrayed the ghosts of former residents as they told their stories of living in early Centralia.

Pictured right are: the first Mayor of Centralia, Matthew C. Kell, portrayed by Doug Hixson; Palace Market Grocery owner, Georgia Manns portrayed by DeAna Manns; and entrepreneur/former Mayor Robert Rohl, portrayed by John Stuehmeier to name a few of the stories told.
