The City of Centralia in cooperation with the Cemetery and Parks Preservation Commission and the Centralia Cultural Society presented Elmwood Speaks, a historic tour of Elmwood Cemetery directed by Karen Crouse. The event ran Thursday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 16.

It was the eighth year of the tour with it selling completely out. Actors portrayed the ghosts of former residents as they told their stories of living in early Centralia.

Pictured are: (top) early settler and fruit orchard owner, Jabez Webster, portrayed by Perry White; first black policeman in the City of Centralia, Clarence Hadley (below) portrayed by Brandon Smith; to name a few of the stories told.
