Donations received for Honor Flight
Donations for the benefit of the Honor Flight of Southern Illinois are received by Bruce Wells, right, representing the Honor Flight. Gordon Miller of the Centralia Masonic Lodge and Centralia Shrine Club is presenting the donations collected. The public donated $550 through the Masonic Lodge’s recent pancake breakfast on March 23. The Masonic Lodge and Shrine Club each contributed an additional $250 to bring the total to $1,050. All donations are used to fund a trip to Washington D.C. for a planeload of veterans who would like to see the war memorials, changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery, etc. All this and more is being funded by the donations collected at no cost to the participating veterans.
