District V FFA Agriscience Fair

The Sandoval FFA Chapter recently participated in the District V FFA Agriscience Fair. The Science fair was held in Benton on Wednesday, March 12th and was sponsored by Syngenta. Ten schools participated – Century-Ullin, Cisne, East Richland-Olney, Fairfield, Freeburg, Mt. Carmel, Mt. Vernon, Red Hill-Bridgeport, Sandoval, and West Richland-Noblewith 35 projects and 40 students.

The Sandoval FFA took two projects with a total of three students participating. In 20th place were Christonia Saddler and Kade Gambill with their project titled “Does Music Affect Egg Productivity of a Chicken”.

Placing 16th in the District V FFA Science Fair, was Vinnie Reed from Sandoval. Vinnie’s project focused on turning milk into plastic. All Sandoval FFA members will be advancing to the State FFA Agriscience fair in June 2014.
