Cub Scout Packs 260 and 446 invite local first through fifth grade boys and their families to join them on Thursday, September 8 from 6:00 – 7:30pm at Centralia Fairview Park to learn about the exciting adventures planned for this year. Interested families can join them at the CN Railroad Pavilion next to the Engine 2500 steam locomotive. Free tours of the #2500 Steam Locomotive are available thanks to the volunteers from the Age of Steam Memorial.

Designed for all boys, ages 6 to 10, Cub Scouting combines outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting program that helps families teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship, and respect.

Local Cub Scout Packs are chartered to the Centralia First United Methodist Church and Centralia American Legion Post #446. The Boy Scouts of America comprises more than one million volunteers working together for the sole purpose of helping its nearly three million youth succeed in life.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet the volunteer leaders, and receive their new annual program calendar. Registration cost for the 2016-2017 school year is only $25. Volunteers will also be on hand registering new youth ages 11 – 17 years old for one of two local Boy Scout Troops.
