Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School graduates, Lydia Kangas and Anthony Ian Gazdik, will each receive a Board of Trustee Scholarship to attend Kaskaskia College for the 2020-21 school year. The award provides the student with full tuition for up to two years.

Lydia is the daughter of Rev. Aaron and Heidi Kangas of Iuka and plans to study Nursing. Anthony is the son of John Gazdik and Amanda Lyday of Walnut Hill and plans to study Mechanical Engineering.

Lydia says of her choice to attend Kaskaskia, “I chose to start my education at Kaskaskia College because it has an accredited nursing program that was close to home. Also, Kaskaskia was the cost effective option, but I didn’t have to sacrifice a quality education.”

Ian adds, “I’m starting at Kaskaskia because it’s nice and close to home, and in a familiar area. I feel more comfortable starting close to home instead of jumping head first into the craziness and confusion of dormitories and roommates that happen at a university.”
