Community Bible Study

For almost 40 years, Community Bible Study has helped people understand God’s Word through in-depth community-based Bible studies. With nearly 700 classes in the United States and an active presence in more than 70 countries, Community Bible Study is a Bible study for everybody.

Community Bible Study began a day women’s class at Grace Nazarene Church, 14769 North Illinois Highway 37 in Salem, Illinois on September 3, 2013 and will run it through April 29, 2014 starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. There is child care to 24 months and curriculum for ages 2-5 years.

Community Bible Study is an interdenominational bible study. Community Bible Study makes every effort to concentrate on the essentials of the Christian faith rather than denominational differences. It respects different theological views while focusing on helping people to know God through His word, grow deeper in their relationships with Jesus, and be transformed into His likeness. Their relationship with local churches is one of support and respect. The classes are composed of people from many different churches and are designed to complement and not compete with the ministry of the local church.

The October 29 study will begin with I John for six weeks, then 1 and 2 Thessalonians for six weeks and finish with Mark the last 18 weeks. For more information, visit or call Martha Bounds at 618-735-9163, Alice Malzahn at 618-545-0319 or Renita Gararett at 618-780-3592.
