Come meet the Commodore
In the news from SINA from last week’s meeting, President Mike Chambers introduced Bud Davis from the Mt. Vernon Yacht Club. Davis originally started a yacht club in Florida when he lived there, then came back to the area and started the Mt. Vernon Yacht Club because he enjoys helping others make memories. And what a fun way to share with your family and friends (kids from 2 to 99), to come and play with motorized yachts.
In the recent past Davis (better known as the Commodore) has had his boats at the Veterans Memorial Park as well as Cedarhurst and the Centralia Balloon Fest. Starting the first of October, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays only, the motorized boats can be found at the Centralia Recreation Complex for all to enjoy and will continue through March.
The Commodore is also hoping to expand in this area this coming summer as well as be in Mt. Vernon. For further information you can go to Mt. Vernon Yacht Club on facebook or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
