CEO visits Rotary
Entrepreneurship education was the topic of conversation at a recent Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon meeting when members of the Jefferson County CEO class were the featured speakers. The students talked about the program that seeks to prepare youth to be responsible, enterprising individuals who become entrepreneurial thinkers and contribute to economic development and sustainable communities. The program is open to junior and senior high school students. The class meets at local businesses that change throughout the year. Students learn from 30 to 40 guest speakers. Through volunteer mentors, students immerse themselves in real life learning experiences.
