Centralia Community Youth Center had a great turnout Saturday for their fifth Halloween event. This year they kicked it off with their first ever trunk or treat. Volunteers braced the chilly weather to hand out all kinds of goodies. The fun-filled evening continued inside the youth center with more candy, concession food, and several Halloween games. Some of the games played by the youth were wrap the mummy, zombie eyeball toss, Halloween tic tac toe, witches hat ring toss and face painting. “Safety was our first priority and masks were provided to those who did not have one. We are thankful for all the volunteers and donations that helped to make this event possible,” said activity director and coordinator Whitney Williams.  The Centralia Community Youth Center is currently looking for volunteers to help tutor.

“Our tutoring program ranges from grades kindergarten to Junior high.” “We also have open gym for those who finish their lesson early,” said Youth Center President Joel Brooks. If you are interested in donating to or volunteering at the youth center you can contact Joel Brooks or Whitney Williams at 618-532-6530. Pictured are some of these who attended the event.
