Apple Fest Application Deadline August 31st
The deadline to receive applications for the Salem Apple fest is Saturday, August 31, 2013. There will be a $10 late charge if applications are received after that date. You may contact the Chamber office for an application form: 548-3010 or email@example.com.
We are again expecting a large attendance to wander through the many exhibits and sample all of the delicious food available. A new feature this year will be the Fall Gathering hosted by The Haney’s – The Best in Southern Gospel Music. This will begin after the Apple fest closes, but you are sure to want to stay to listen to the gospel music.
Other live musical entertainment will feature the Jamie Nattier Band during the morning and Herman Perry & The Gold Nuggets will be on stage in the afternoon. These bands are sponsored by Marion County Savings Bank and The Rusty Nail. The Southern Illinois Elite Tumblers will be entertaining at 12:00 noon.
The Apple Dessert Contest will be held again this year with Salem Dollars given as prizes. A popular addition to the Apple fest is always the many kid’s games, pony rides and an inflatable jump house will be on the grounds.
There will be plenty of apples and cider available for purchase.
Remember, the ninth annual Salem Apple fest will be Saturday, September 21st from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. It will be held at Bryan Memorial Park. As always, free parking and free admission.
