KC Welding Students Assist St. John’s Episcopal Church in Centralia
KC Welding Students recently assisted St. John’s Episcopal Church in Centralia with a new stand for their bell. The belfry was recently damaged and the church had to remove their bell. Later, they received a replacement bell from a generous member of the church, and the decision was made to place it on a stand outside, instead of the belfry. Students in the Kaskaskia College Welding Department came to the rescue and did a great job of building a new steel mounting frame for the replacement bell. The Welding Program donated the labor and was able to weld a new stand for their bell.
