KC Computer Information Technology Programs Holds Advisory Board Meeting
The annual April Computer Information Technology Advisory Board meet on April 30. Several members were unable to attend physically however contributed to the achievements made by the advisory board meeting. There will be exciting new changes made to the existing Web Design and Applications Development degree to include updating of catalog descriptions, course content, the addition of two new programming courses, and improvements made to course outline to reflect changes within the web design and application development career fields.
Additional initiatives include improvements made to existing syllabi that will support quick and frequent changes within the technology field, allowing the CIT department to quickly respond to changes and skill set requirements. Additional methods will be developed as a strategic plan for the CIT department to provide unity with assessment methodology and alignment of existing individual course learning outcomes with program-level outcomes. Several methods to provide a stable quality control system to ensure student success within program disciplines were discussed by advisory board members. Additional work will be completed by all CIT advisory board members to put the new framework for program revision and support into place.
