KC Announces KICK Programming For July for Centralia Area
The Office of Continuing/Community Education at Kaskaskia College would like to announce the schedule for KICK classes held in Centralia in July.
Typing 101 – This class will help students improve their keyboarding skills. The class will be at the Crisp Technology Center on Monday through Thursday, July 9-12, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The class is for students in grades 5-8 and the cost is $30.00. The registration number is KICK 5005 CR01D.
Digital Electronics – This class will allow students to create digital circuits in the college electronics lab. The focus will be on low voltage digital electronics and is aimed toward those with no previous experience with electronics. The students will build simple circuits using breadboards and actual electronic components for a variety of applications. Students will learn about LEDs, resistors, capacitors and transistors and how they can be combined to create useful electronic devices. This class will be at the Crisp Technology Center and will be Tuesday and Thursday, July 17 and 19, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This class is for students ages 12 and up and the cost is $20.00. Kids in Kitchen – This course is designed for the youngster who is interested in studying various cooking techniques and strategies. In addition to learning how to prepare meals and the learning the fruits of the cooking industry, the student will create fun and exciting meals. This class will be on the KC main campus on Wednesday, July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The class is for students in grades 4-8 and the cost is $25.00. The registration number is CKICK 5283 MC02D.
