Give The Gift Of Volunteering For “The Reading Link”

Give a gift that will last a lifetime this spring by volunteering as a “Reading Link” tutor.
“The Reading Link” has been a part of Kaskaskia College since the mid-80s and over the last 30 plus years, have helped hundreds of community members 17 years old or better learn to read, sharpen their skills and propel them up the workforce ladder through one-on-one no cost tutoring.

“The Reading Link” wants to continue to provide these services to our friends in the college district, but need your help!  Currently, the number of tutors cannot keep up with the demand of learners.  SIMPLY PUT……WE NEED YOU!  There are only a few requirements for becoming a tutor: kindness, patience, and able to devote 2 hours a week to helping a neighbor learn to read.

Tutor Training will be held at Kaskaskia College on Tuesday, March 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.; at the Greenville Education Center on Wednesday, March 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.; and at the Nashville Education Center on Wednesday, March 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
