Jill Pietrusinski, center, Rotary District 6510 Governor, was the featured speaker at this week’s Rotary Club of Mount Vernon meeting. Overseeing clubs in much of Southern Illinois she talked about the many service projects Rotary supports, both locally and internationally, and the need to continue to increase membership and involve them in club activities. A club statement indicated Rotary was founded in 1905 and today has over 1.2 million members worldwide. Also pictured thanking the guest are Rotary president Sandy Sinnett and Rotary assistant district governor Kevin Settle.
