Heritage Woods of Centralia 10th Anniversary Celebration
Heritage Woods of Centralia celebrated 10 years of service to area seniors and their families with an anniversary party from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 22.
Since the beginning, Heritage Woods of Centralia has established itself as the premier affordable assisted living community,” said Rod Burkett, CEO of Gardant Management Solutions, the company that manages the community. “With the opportunity for seniors to live with dignity in their own apartments and receive the assistance they need, we are proud to say we continue to set the standard for assisted living in the Centralia area.”
Heritage Woods of Centralia Administrator Tom Broughton thanked his staff for all their extra personal attention to the residents. “It’s like family helping family.”
Other speakers were Centralia Mayor Tom Ashby and Centralia Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marcus Holland.
During the celebration, employees who have been with the community for the decade were honored: Business Office Manager Lisa Abernathy, Cook Beth Dreas, Resident Services Coordinator Misty Rollinson, Dietary Aide Helen Wallace, and Beautician Angie Thompson.
Three residents— Joyce Draper, Betty Fenton and Marlene Schierschwitz — who have lived at Heritage Woods since the building opened — were honored as well.
