The City of Centralia is hosting the Centralia.Works Job Fair on June 22nd from 1:00pm to 7:00pm at the Centralia Recreation Complex located at 115 East 2nd Street in Centralia.
“Events like the Centralia.Works Job Fair, which connect the region’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are a critical part of our efforts to strengthen our innovation economy and support a strong middle class,” Mayor Tom Ashby said. “By supporting and hosting the Centralia.Works job fair, the City of Centralia is helping to build a stronger, more innovative community and region.” The Mayor also said that, “Open job opportunities include good paying full and part time jobs with employers in healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, retail and hospitality, with many of the employers offering great benefits that include healthcare, education assistance, 401K and more.”
“The Centralia.Works Job Fair will bring together local businesses and our region’s skilled workforce to help businesses grow and positively impact our economic vitality,” said the City of Centralia’s City Manager, Dan Ramey. “The Centralia.Works Job Fair will help local business find qualified job seekers in the region and create opportunities for area residents to work close to home. This not only supports our economy, it also reduces the need for residents to commute long distances and work outside of their community.”
The Centralia.Works initiative will also provide services, resources and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire process of job searching, hiring and addressing other employment needs, such as housing, child care and transportation.
