CEO Representative Speaks to Rotary West

Jeff Harrman, a representative for the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Program was the featured speaker at this week’s Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon West morning meeting. Harrman reported the mission of the program is to enable high school students in rural Illinois to become self-reliant, enterprising individuals who will start successful businesses and contribute to the ongoing economic development of their communities.

The CEO program, which is slated to start Fall 2016, is open to high school juniors and seniors. Area businesses will be utilized as classrooms and 50 to 60 guest speakers will be engaged for the year allowing the students to connect with business professionals. Introducing the speaker was past Rotary president Shawna Bullard who is also pictured.
